- If you have questions about buying my books, DVD or T-shirts,
please visit
this page.
- My policies about returning
products you bought
from me are on this
page.
- You want to order by mail instead of online? The mail order
form is here.
- You want to buy fireworks? Click
this.
- You have leftover fireworks and you want to know how to store
them? Read this.
- You found a box of very
old fireworks? Make
a list of the items and send it to me by e-mail.
- You want to make fireworks? In most states of the U.S., it is
illegal to make fireworks unless you have a fireworks manufacturing
license from the state. You should not make fireworks unless
you have that license.
- How do you make an M-80? I do not know. Just forget about M-80s!
Think about legal fireworks instead. Read this
page of my web site if you still want M-80s.
- Are you doing a report for your school about fireworks? Try
this or
this.
Also, be sure to visit this web site about fireworks that has a
lot of useful information.
- Will I sell you fireworks,
or will I just send you some?
I sell books, videos and T-shirts about fireworks, but I don't
sell fireworks. You will need to find a fireworks dealer. Click this to see online
dealers, or get my printed dealer
directory.
- Where do you buy fuse for fireworks? There are many sources.
One is this
web site. You can often buy regular fuse at surplus stores
like Army-Navy stores, hobby shops (especially those that specialize
in model rocketry) and sometimes at gun shops as well. It is
often sold as "safety fuse," "cannon fuse"
or - most often - as "visco fuse."
- Where can you buy M-80s? You can't in the USA. Sorry. You can
read my page
about M-80s for more information on that subject.
- If you just read my page
about M-80s, and you're
sending me e-mail to tell me that M-80s are fun and that I should
support their use, and that regular fireworks are boring and
no fun, well go ahead and send it, but I've heard it all already.
Keep in mind the possible punishment for possessing even one
M-80 is ten years in federal prison - yep, that sounds like a
fun to me!
- What are the "top
ten" fireworks this year?
I never make lists of top ten fireworks, there are just too many
good ones on the market. It all depends on what effect you are
looking for. The 10 best fireworks for you may not be the same
as the 10 best fireworks for someone else. The fireworks market
is constantly changing, so any such list would go out of date
quickly. See my discussion
forum for some postings along this line.
- Which is the best fireworks
dealer? or, "What
dealer has the lowest prices?" There are over 1000 dealers
in the U.S. There is no single "best" dealer, or one
dealer that has the lowest prices. My advice is to shop around
at all the dealers that are convenient to you and compare prices
and selection, as well as the friendliness and knowledge of the
sales staff.
- Which is the loudest brand
of firecracker? In
the USA, all firecrackers sold to the public can contain only
50 milligrams of powder, and have approximately the same loudness.
There is no one brand that is significantly louder than other
brands.
- Can I recommend a particular
firework for you? With
over 6,000 fireworks in my buyer's
guide, it's difficult for me to pick one for your needs.
There are just too many to choose from.
- Which is better - X firework from Brand A, or Y firework
from Brand B? This is another question which has no real answer
because it's so subjective. My goal is to provide the most accurate
and objective information about the fireworks and let you decide
which you want, based on objective performance information. But
this is often a valid question, and if you have this type of
question, you can try posting it on my discussion
forum and see if anyone there offers an opinion.
- "My son was expelled from school for 3 days for having
firecrackers at school, now the school district wants to press
charges, what should I do?" If you have legal problems,
get a lawyer - and make sure it is a lawyer who has experience
and knowlege of fireworks and the fireworks business. I do not
have any list of such lawyers, you will have to ask around at
legal offices to track one down. Most lawyers have absolutely
no experience with fireworks or explosives cases and should not
take your case, for that reason.
- What's my phone number?
Can you call me just to talk about fireworks? I used to show my phone number on this
web site, but I was getting too many weird calls from all over
the world, so I had to remove it. Sorry. If you have a question,
send me e-mail and I will be happy to answer it by e-mail.
- If you don't find the information you want at my web
site, try this
page of links.
Your message will only get through
to me if the subject line remains Fireworksland.com. Click
this to send me e-mail. If clicking on that does nothing,
send e-mail to me in your e-mail program, to bobweaver (at)
fireworksland.com (replacing the "at" with an @).
I normally reply to e-mail inquries on the same day I receive
them, unless I am out of town, which is rare. Make sure the subject
line is Fireworksland.com - if not then I might not receive the
message. |
