Midnight Monsoon by Phantom

Postby pyroluvr on Sat Sep 19, 2009 4:09 pm

If you read my post I really don't like Phantom products because of them being overpriced and lacking performance quality having that said Midnight Monsoon is one of the good ones it's a 19 shot repeater I believe 200g maybe 350g performance quality is good nice breaks of crackling comets and golden willows nice and loud too but , price is a factor at 34.99 retail it's not worth it even with the BOGO at BIGFIREWORKS you can get 500g repeaters BOGO retail for the same price and for a few dollars more a whole case wholesale I don't know what their business strategy is at Phantom but as a consumer I just can't do it price is always a concern as well as performance so if you want great products at a great price BIGFIREWORKS is the company to deal with as long as BIGFIREWORKS maintains it's methods of of operations they will surely rise to the pinnacle of the industry if they have not already they're good people if you haven't already give them a try you won't be disappointed

It's okay to put a high price on something which in return is completely worth the price.

This statement is why shopping Phantom Fireworks never bothered me.

Problem is nothing there is worth buying anymore.

The Phantom bashers only hate on them because they do not cater to low-end wholesale buyers. The people you see bashing Phantom that know fireworks well are not bitching because they have weak product just the opposite they have good product and it bothers people that buy low-end wholesale that they can’t deal with Phantom.

But business is business and 99% of the people that buy consumer fireworks are retail buyers and that is where the big profit comes in when you import and sell fireworks.

That all works out fine for Phantom, people think because they are one of the top two fireworks dealers in the USA that they must be real greedy but you have to take into consideration that overhead they have. You don’t see the big wholesalers like Bigs, Victory, and World Class fighting legal battles all over the US just trying to slow movement to BAN fireworks in every state. But those same wholesalers reap the benefits of Phantom and TNT actions to slow the anti consumer fireworks movement.

Unless you are one of these guys that have a $5k or better annual fireworks budget and lives in a state that allows you to store and shoot allot of fireworks almost any time you want then retail is still your logical choice. Those people amount to about 1% (if not less) of consumer fireworks sales in the US.

Having driven tru New Mexico last summer and stopping at other retail fireworks store. Phantom has very good retail prices. You can't beat whosales prices, but not everyone has a couple of grand to spend on pyro. 8)

I think if you are a regular customer of Phantom and take advantage of all their offers, you end up with a reasonable deal, but you've spent a lot of money to get to the point where all the offers and discounts apply to you. And their wholesale list is pretty much in line with most wholesalers, though there is a steep minimum order amount, and apparently you can only buy wholesale in person at their main warehouse in Youngstown, Ohio.

This is another reason for me supporting them years ago.

Them fighting against agencies looking at banning all consumer fireworks. Their deals for people in our military were awesome too.

Our showroom was allowing the swapping of bonuses for individual fireworks product if someone was wanting something other than their fireworks assortments. Mixing and matching was optional also.

Matching the pricing at Hubbard wholesale fireworks was a possibility with them allowing this.

Their minimum ordering requirement is a $2500.00!

The highest of everyone.

No they are not the highest. I know many that are 3k-5K Alamo for example..3k and that is not even true wholesale you need to shell out more money to get the best wholesale price they have to offer.

I am unfamiliar with Alamo Fireworks.

Their minimum ordering requirement being higher is surprising!

The last Midnight Monsoons I purchased from Phantom were still pretty nice. That was about three years ago though. I stopped going to Phantom when the last really good things vanished.

Blue Streak rockets
Thundersticks
Flashing Thunder RC's
SilverSonic Warheads
etc... :(

2007

Absolutely right.

Everything worth purchasing there is gone.

My favorite products there were the following items.

Airotica, Blue Ringed Willows, Emerald City, Machine Gun Shell, Midnight Monsoon, Molotov Cocktail, Phantasm, Pyro Glyphics, Rain of Fire, Raptor, Red White and Boom, Shagadellic Mojo, Silver Sonic Warheads and War Birds for cakes.

Blue Wave, Fluorescent Purple Bombshell, Fluorescent Yellow Bombshell and Round Red Dahlia for tubes.

Eight Shot Surprise and Flashing Thunder for candles.

Thunder Sticks for rockets.

Outstanding product all gone.

The Blue Wave tubes were OFF THE HOOK, I only got two of them and after shooting them I ran back to get more only to find they were the way of the Dodo Bird. What a bummer they were very large breaking tubes, I haven’t seen anything that compares to them since in 1.4G

Oh no Phantom quit selling 8 shot suprise? Those were the best candles out there. Those sonic warheads were great too. I haven't been there in a couple of years, maybe I'm not missing out on anything. :(
